Amongst all the chaos of the end of 2017, I had a massive clearout of my book collection. Not an easy thing to do seen as I had donated a couple of hundred to charity shops in the middle of 2016. I managed it though. I got rid of anything that I had read and felt that I would never read again. I also got rid of som e unread books that I had lost interest in. I am guessing that this is a pretty common theme with all you booklovers out there!
the good thing about this is that it game me room to actually organise my books properly for what feels like the first time in ages!
I now have a “Read” shelf.
I have a “Hauled in 2018” shelf.
I have a shelf for all my biographies.
Another for my hardbacks.
Another just has my Jodi Picoult collection on it.
This just makes me feel so much more organised, and also makes it way easier to find stuff.
I still have a physical TBR of over 200, but it just seems more manageable now.
It also means that the books I am picking up I am really enjoying. My least favourite read of the year so far (Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin) was actually one that had been lingering on my kindle!!!
I’ve also challenged myself to read all 6 books off the Women’s Prize Shortlist this year 😮
Anyway how’s about a #shelfie or two???
How do you organise your books?
How do you keep your TBR manageable?
How do you decide what to unhaul??
Until next time!!!Feel free to let me know!!
